Andre Michel joins International Private Label Consult

International Private Label Consult, a boutique consulting firm that specialises in the retail industry, has appointed André Michel as partner. The past few years Michel worked as a self-employed consultant, prior to that he served as Commercial Director of supermarket-chain Vomar.

André Michel has extensive experience in the Food Retail industry, particularly in the fresh categories. Between 1968 and 1996 he worked for KonMar, a Dutch chain of retailers including supermarkets, bakeries and grocery stores. After this period he moved to Vomar Voordeelmarkt, where he joined as Commercial Director, and was co-responsible for the development of the brand. During his spell at Vomar – Michel left early 2012 – Vomar expanded its footprint from 24 to 56 stores.

International Private Label Consult

Following a few years as self-employed Michel has per 1 September decided to join International Private Label Consult (IPLC), a consulting firm that provides management consultancy and project management services to the retail business. “With a keen eye for commerce and the logistic process from the perspective of a retailer, André is able to offer private label manufacturers unique support. This underlines our ongoing ambition to further expand our pool of private label professionals with a vast experience in retail and manufacturing,” says IPLC in a statement.

Other experienced retail partners of IPLC include Koen de Jong (Managing Partner), Hermann Sievers (Germany), Jean Michel Marin (France) and Rafael Escanez (Spain).
