Grant Thornton UK, an assurance, tax and consulting firm, has appointed Kevin Hollister as Associate Director for its Pensions Advisory Business. Hollister joins Grant Thornton with 15 years of actuarial experience and has worked for various consulting firms, such as Aon Hewitt and Hymans Robertson. At these firms, he specialised in analysing and mitigating risks. He focused on the annuity market, and has been a specialist in the buy-in and buy-out markets since 2007. Hollister has led on and completed approximately 25 annuity transactions. In addition, he has focused on asset liability modelling, and de-risking and liability management. Hollister holds a degree in Economics and Actuarial Science from City University London.
At Grant Thornton, Hollister is expected to grow the firm’s pension scheme de-risking service, and he will work with trustees and corporate clients. Hollister will be based between Grant Thornton's Finsbury Square offices in London and the Bothwell Street office in Glasgow. “Kevin joins our team at an exciting time for us, as we continue to grow from strength to strength. His in-depth technical knowledge and experience in de-risking many pension schemes will add significant weight to our pensions offering,” says Darren Mason, head of Pensions Advisory.
