10 consulting firms in top 50 European employers

European Economics and Business students that aspire a career in the consulting industry would ideally prefer to work at PwC, EY or McKinsey & Company, concludes a research from Universum held among more than 130,000 students in 12 European countries. As many as 10 consulting firms have made the list of the 50 most popular employers.

Every year Universum researches the popularity of employers among students. The research is carried out on a global, regional and national level. The recently launched European ranking – the so-called ‘Europe's Most Attractive Employers 2014’ – lists the 50 companies that, according to the students, form the best stepping stone to their career.

The list is led by search engine giant Google, followed by cosmetics supplier L'Oreal and Big4 firm PwC. An overview of the top 10 employers:

Similar to various other rankings among students, the consulting industry turns out to be one of the most popular sectors to start a career. The top 50 most attractive employers list contains five companies active in the consulting industry: professional services firm Deloitte, the American giants IBM and Accenture, and strategy firms Bain & Company and Roland Berger.
