Real estate firm AOS Studley rebrands to AOS Group

AOS Studley has been rebranded to AOS Group. The name change follows from AOS' decision to sell its North American business (Studley) to the British-based Savills. The rebranding formally went into effect on the 1st of August, and has since been implemented in more than 20 countries.

AOS is a consulting and project management firm in the field of housing, work environment and facility management. The consulting firm has 450 employees worldwide across offices in more than 20 countries, and recorded a turnover of €77 million in the last fiscal year.

In May, AOS decided to sell its American practice for approximately $260 million to Savills, a counterpart from the United Kingdom. The US branch was founded in New York in 1954 as 'Studley' and has over the past 60 years grown to one of the leading players in the American real estate market. The consulting firm has approximately 575 employees in 25 offices throughout the country, working for large corporates such as Google, Facebook, Amazon, IBM, and Abbott Laboratories. With the acquisition of Studley, Savills gains a significant footprint in the American continent, a market in which it played no significant role prior to the acquisition.

As part of the transaction the partners agreed to rebrand Studley to Savills Studley in the US. The consequence was that the international operations of AOS Studley had to drop ‘Studley’ from its brand, a feat which went into effect at the beginning of this month. Customers will not be impacted by the name change, claims an AOS spokesman, stating that "all services and activities of AOS in all countries where the group is located will be continued in the same manner”.
