Aon Hewitt slashes 45 jobs in the United Kingdom
Aon Hewitt, the HR service provider or risk advisor and insurance broker Aon, has announced that it is going to slash 45 jobs in the United Kingdom.
In a press release Aon announces that it will merge its benefits administration and HR business process outsourcing (HRBPO) Units in the United Kingdom. The benefits administration practice provides pay rolling and other compensation and benefits solutions to clients. The HRBPO branch is the outsourcing department of Aon that takes over the control and maintenance of HR processes and systems from organizations.
The merging of the two departments will increase efficiency Aon concludes. The largest part of the work done by the 45 redundant employees will be transferred to Poland, where Aon has since 2005 an outsourcing center.
The redundancies will be made across the UK. Mainly leadership and operational staff will be impacted. The current Managing Director of benefits administration Stuart Heatley has been appointed to lead the transition, yet following completion he will step down from his role and leave the organization.
