EY appoints Rohit Mathur as global leader of risk consulting business
EY has appointed Rohit Mathur to lead its global risk consulting business. Based in the UK, Mathur will work to help clients transform their risk function, and boost business performance.
Amid an era of constant business disruption, adapting organisational strategy has become the norm for many businesses. Embracing disruption with fresh thinking about risk management can turn risk into a competitive advantage that builds value, trust and confidence – and EY’s global risk consulting team works to help clients realise the importance of developing flexible strategies to that end.
Rohit Mathur has advised executives across transformation, board governance and resilience functions. Previously a senior consultant with Arthur Andersen, he joined EY in 2002, working as a partner in both India and the Uk in the years since.
Currently based in London, Mathur has also become part of EY’s global core team, which leads internal audit solutions, internal controls and business process solutions for clients across the world, working “closely with senior executives to help them build agile and risk-aware organisations that use technology, data and analytics to drive business outcomes”.
Mathur said of his new role, “I’m honoured to step into the role of EY Global Risk Consulting Leader. As organisations navigate an increasingly NAVI world that is non-linear, accelerated, volatile, and interconnected, the role of Risk has never been more important. We have an opportunity to help clients combine human judgment, data, and AI-enabled insights to anticipate risk, seize opportunity, and act with confidence.”
Pierre Beaufils, global deputy vice chair for consulting, added, “Rohit has extensive experience across both emerging and developed economies, and has helped shape market-leading solutions and delivered some of EY’s most significant risk transformation programs. His deep client insight, collaborative leadership, and passion for innovation position him strongly to lead our global Risk Consulting practice into its next chapter.”
Mathur steps into the shoes of Kapish Vanvaria, who held the role for the last three years. Vanvaria will now move on to become deputy vice chair for EY’s Americas consulting team. Mathur also thanked Vanvaria for “his leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment”, which have “created a strong foundation for the future.”
