Affinia strengthens client services with four senior appointments
Accounting and consultancy firm Affinia has announced four senior appointments across London, the Midlands, East Anglia and South East England. John Weston, Lee Gardham, Joe Moore, and Katia Zavershinskaya have joined following a period of continued growth for Affinia as the firm expands its national footprint and broadens the services available to its clients.
John Weston joins Affinia from BDO and becomes the firm’s first employment tax director. Based in Ipswich, he will play a key role in the launch and development of Affinia’s employment solutions service, which has been created to help businesses manage compliance obligations, mitigate risk and develop effective workforce reward strategies.
He commented, “I am delighted to join Affinia at a time when employers are facing increasingly complex workforce tax, reward and mobility issues. The new employment solutions service is designed to give clients clear, practical advice that helps them manage compliance, reduce risk and support their people in the right way.”
Lee Gardham has joined as group finance director, based in Colchester. A fellow chartered certified accountant, he brings more than 20 years’ experience in strategic finance, M&A, corporate development and business transformation. He previously spent nearly 11 years at Cardano, where his work included finance transformation, acquisitions and integration across the UK and Europe.
Gardham added, “Affinia is an ambitious and fast-growing firm, and I am pleased to be joining at such an exciting stage in its development. My focus will be on supporting the continued professionalisation and growth of the business, helping to build the finance infrastructure and insight needed for the next phase.”
Joe Moore joins Affinia as director of business development, based in Stratford. He is the first member of Affinia’s new business development team and will work closely with service lines across the firm to identify opportunities to support existing clients more widely, as well as helping new clients access Affinia’s growing range of advisory and accountancy services. He trained as a tax consultant at Deloitte before moving to KPMG, where he gained commercial experience working with fast-growth and emerging businesses.
Moore noted, “I am really looking forward to working with teams across Affinia to help clients access the full range of expertise the firm has to offer. Good business development starts with the conversations already taking place with clients every day, and my role is to help turn those opportunities into joined-up support that delivers real value.”
Katia Zavershinskaya finally arrives as head of innovation and change, based in Stratford. She brings more than 15 years of experience leading complex technology and business transformation programmes across industries including supply chain, retail, sport and professional services. In her previous role, she helped shape and deliver an enterprise-wide technology and data roadmap, alongside building governance and PMO capabilities and leading programmes across business technology, AI and operational transformation.
Zavershinskaya concluded, “I’m excited to be joining Affinia at such an important time in its growth. My focus is on making sure innovation and change deliver real, practical value, helping the business continue to evolve and supporting clients in a straightforward and meaningful way.”
