Gooding Accounts joins DHJ to create 900-strong firm

Yorkshire-based professional services firm DJH has expanded south, with its latest acquisition. Gooding Accounts joins the company, growing its national footprint into Wiltshire.

DJH is an audit and advisory firm with offices in Huddersfield, Leeds and Sheffield, and according to Heath, has been “deliberately building” its national footprint in regions where it knows it can “add real value to local businesses”. Following this purchase, its expanding group now employs nearly 900 people across 20 offices in the UK and Ireland, with Gooding Accounts representing its first entry into the South West of England.

Gooding Accounts was founded in 2014 by Sam Gooding. The firm, which moved to a new office on White Horse Business Park in July 2025, serves firms across Wiltshire. Sam and Katy Gooding will continue to lead the Gooding Accounts team, ensuring a smooth transition to becoming part of DJH, while supporting the integration of additional services, including access to experts in wills and estate planning, R&D tax credits and corporate finance.

Clients have been promised a “seamless” transition, having access to the same advisers, but now backed by the latest technology and a significantly enhanced range of services.
