Dean Chamberlain joins BDO’s tax team as partner

Accountancy and business advisory organisation BDO has a strengthened its tax team with the appointment of a new partner. Dean Chamberlain joins the firm’s private equity and tax team.

Louise Sayers, head of people, culture and purpose at BDO, commented, “Dean brings a wealth of specialist tax experience to BDO, and I’m delighted to welcome him to the BDO partnership team.”

Chamberlain joins BDO from PwC, where he was a director in the company’s UK tax wing. He spent more than a decade with the Big Four firm, and during his time there, came to specialise in alternative investment funds across the financial services sector. Earlier, he was also a senior tax manager at Elman Wall.

At BDO, he joins as partner in private equity tax, bringing specialist expertise across private equity. He will support clients across a broad range of private equity fund compliance work and will be responsible for supporting the growth of BDO’s fund compliance offering.

The BDO global network provides business advisory services in 169 countries and territories. In the UK, BDO operates in 17 offices, employing 8,000 people, with annual revenues of £1 billion. Chamberlain joins the firm shortly after another hire in the company’s tax wing – with Al Milne also arriving as a partner in Manchester.
