BDO names Al Milne as partner in Manchester
Al Milne has joined BDO’s tax team as a new partner. He brings two decades of experience to the role.
Louise Sayers, head of people, culture and purpose at BDO, said, “It’s a pleasure to welcome Al to BDO’s tax team. His appointment demonstrates our continued investment in the North West and our ambition to further strengthen our specialist tax offering in the region. Al brings a wealth of technical expertise, which will be invaluable as we continue supporting clients with increasingly complex and evolving incentive and reward strategies.”
The BDO global network provides business advisory services in 169 countries and territories. In the UK, BDO operates in 17 offices, employing 8,000 people, with annual revenues of £1 billion.
As the North West’s growing technology cluster continues to buoy the region’s economic performance, Milne will bolster BDO’s Manchester office. He will join the Share Plans and Incentives (SP&I) tax team and will be responsible for designing and implementing incentive strategies supporting the business goals of his mid-market clients. Milne will also be responsible for growing the SP&I service line across the North West.
He joins from Claritas Tax where he was head of equity reward. Prior to that Al spent 10 years at KPMG.
Commenting in a LinkedIn post with more than 300 engagements from colleagues and well-wishers, Milne added, “I’m pleased to share that I have joined BDO UK as a partner, leading the share plans and incentives team in the North. I’m looking forward to meeting colleagues across the firm and getting started.”
