Azets strengthens Kent business with new partner Nicola MacAulay
Azets has appointed Nicola MacAulay as a private client tax partner. She will operate in a Kent-wide role as business demand continues to grow.
As an international business advisory group, Azets has over 9,000 professionals in 190 locations across eight countries. In the South of England, it currently has offices in Kent at Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury, Sandwich and Sidcup.
Based in the Maidstone office, Nicola MacAulay will now have a strategic role with a remit covering the whole of the county. Her role includes advisory and compliance services on personal tax, including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
MacAulay commented, “I am gratified to have been appointed by such a forward-looking and proactive firm as Azets. It is an exciting new challenge for me and I was inspired by the firm’s culture and how the business operates. I am trusted by clients – primarily individuals who have generated their wealth through entrepreneurship, private equity or land sales – to provide them with sound practical advice tailored to their personal circumstances, taking into account the tax implications.”
She arrives from S&W, where she was private client director. She previously worked at Creaseys in Tunbridge Wells.
Azets South-East regional managing partner Eddi Taylor added, “Nicola is an exceptional operator whose knowledge in the private client tax space is second to none. She has a proven track record of building trusted relationships and delivering clear, practical advice to the individuals she supports. We are delighted to welcome Nicola to the team and are excited about the expertise and energy she brings to our growing Kent practice.”
Azets recently strengthened its North of England audit and tax teams with new appointments including partner Sarah Palmer. She arrived at the firm’s Leeds office in May, and will work with clients across the country.
