Multi-disciplinary consultancy and specialist contractor LK Group has appointed Giovanni Smanio as a director. He will strengthen delivery across its structural engineering function. 

Smanio commented, “The LK Group’s integrated approach to ground engineering, environmental services, and structural capabilities was a key factor in my decision to join. I’m looking forward to supporting the continued growth of the structures division and contributing to a diverse range of projects UK-wide.”   

The LK Group is a professional services firm delivering integrated technical, environmental and project delivery services across the construction sector, has made a key appointment as it continues to expand its UK operations and strengthen delivery across its structural engineering function. The firm is currently working on a number of major schemes across the UK, including Eden Project Morecambe, Ashton Market, Staffordshire Gateway, Soapworks, Paw Patrol Land, and Birtenshaw High School.

Smanio joins as director of its structures division, bringing more than 12 years of experience on board. Previously at B&K Hybrid Solutions, he will support the firm’s Structures Division in the North West, working closely with the structural surveying team on projects while contributing to wider technical delivery.
