Andrew Dyson joins WTS Hansuke as advisor in capital markets wing

WTS Hansuke has appointed Andrew Dyson as an advisor to its capital markets practice in London. Formerly the CEO of the International Securities Lending Association, he joins WTS Hansuke as the firm grows its team to support clients across securities finance, repo, financing and collateral markets.

Commenting on the appointment, WTS Hansuke Head of Capital Markets Roy Zimmerhansl said, “Andrew is a hugely significant addition to our team. He brings a rare combination of market credibility, strategic insight and industry leadership in securities finance.”

At a time when the finance industry is facing converging challenges, including charging market structure and the evolution of collateral and financing markets, WTS Hansuke is looking to expand its ability to help clients navigate the complex environment. According to Zimmerhansl, the arrival of Dyson underlines the firm’s “commitment to building a capital markets practice that can have a real impact for clients, and the wider securities finance ecosystem.”

WTS Hansuke is a UK-based member firm of WTS Global, a global tax group with teams in more than 100 countries. Through its capital markets practice, the firm works with market participants on strategic, regulatory, operational and commercial matters across securities finance, funding, collateral and the broader market ecosystem.

Dyson brings deep industry experience to that end, having helped shape the International Securities Lending Association (ISLA) into a leading trade association, during his tenure as CEO there. His experience gives him a “distinctive perspective” on the challenges and opportunities in the sector, according to a release from WTS Hansuke.

Speaking on his new role as a capital markets advisor based in London, Dyson concluded, “The firm has clear ambition in the financing and collateral space, and I look forward to supporting clients across the EMEA region with strategic advice, market insight and practical solutions during a period of significant industry change.”
