Farah Ahmed joins Secretariat as managing director
Secretariat has appointed Farah Ahmed as a new managing director. Based in London, she will strengthen the firm’s engineering sciences team.

According to Harvey, product safety and regulatory challenges are “growing more complex every year”, meaning Secretariat is facing growing demand from clients for “clear, grounded answers”. To that end, Ahmed’s arrival expands the firm’s capabilities in product safety, crisis management, materials science, risk assessment, and high-stakes failure analysis.
Secretariat experts are trusted in the highest-stakes legal, risk, and regulatory matters around the world. The firm is rated platinum for forensic and litigation work in the annual industry rankings compiled by Consultancy.uk.
Looking ahead, Ahmed will help the firm, by advising C-suite leaders, investors, engineers, product design teams, manufacturers, and regulators. When failures occur at any stage of the product lifecycle – resulting in recalls, corrective measures, or heightened regulatory scrutiny – her capabilities will be deployed to help clients to determine an appropriate response, and identify strategies to strengthen compliance and mitigate future risk.
She joins with 16 years of research and consulting experience. This includes eight years with Exponent, where she was latterly a principal consultant.
