Bain & Company buys boutique financial crime specialist JJC FinTech
Bain & Company has acquired JJC FinTech, a London-based boutique financial services consulting and technology firm with deep industry experience in the financial crime landscape.
Founded in 2017, JJC FinTech specialises in services client lifecycle management (CLM), anti-financial crime, regulatory, and financial crime compliance. The firm has a headcount of around 15 people.
The acquisition of JJC FinTech deepens Bain & Company’s expertise in financial crime, both on the side of regulatory as well as customer experience.
“We are pleased to welcome the JJC team to the Bain & Company family after several years of working closely together,” said Graeme Jeffery, partner in the Financial Services practice. “This deal will strengthen our ability to help our financial services clients improve their client lifecycle and KYC/AML processes and enable them to provide seamless customer experiences.”
The deal comes against an industry backdrop in which financial services institutions need to address an increasingly complex regulatory landscape, while having to balance financial crime compliance with efficiency and customer experience.
Jeffery said that JJC FinTech’s deep practical experience in the field, combined with Bain & Company’s extensive expertise in customer experience and operating model transformations will enable the firm to provide a holistic offering to its clients.
“We are thrilled to be joining forces with Bain,” said Jon May and Jon Wilson, founders of JJC Fintech. “Our successful collaboration over the last two years has shown that together we have been able to bring something uniquely differentiating to clients. Blending Bain & Company’s world-leading strategic thinking with our deep practical industry expertise in the financial crime domain will help turn clients’ ambitions into real world results.”
The deal marks Bain & Company’s first acquisition in 2026 and its first in the UK since 2022, when it acquired procurement specialist Proxima.
