Steve Metcalf and Richard Harrison named partners at AlixPartners
As AlixPartners celebrates its staff’s hard work over the last year, it has announced its roster of annual promotions. In 2026, the firm will announce 175 senior elevations around the world – including Steve Metcalf and Richard Harrison, its two picks for partner in the UK.

Global consultancy AlixPartners has announced the 175 senior promotions globally, marking the firm’s continued growth and investment in its employees. Among these are 22 individuals reaching the rank of partner and managing director, 49 as partner, and 104 to director, effective January 1, 2026.
Steve Metcalf has been selected as a new partner in the firm’s London office. Working in the marketing and business intelligence team, he will now serve as the unit’s global head. Having joined AlixPartner 14 years ago, most of his career has been spent in operational turnaround and he has held senior operational positions in industry as well working as a consultant.
Richard Harrison joins Metcalf in the partner cohort from London. Working in the turnaround and restructuring team, he becomes a partner and managing director – having joined the firm four years previously. Prior to his time at AlixPartners, Harrison spent two decades with Big Four firm EY, latterly as a director-associate partner.
Commenting via a LinkedIn post, he stated, “I moved to AlixPartners in 2021 to advance my career and help build an exceptional Restructuring team. Creating a successful team is hard work, and I fully expect my new role will continue to challenge me. However, the support I’ve received over the past few years – especially through the PMD process - has reminded me that I’m exactly where I should be, in the right place, with the right team, and I look forward to 2026 with genuine excitement about what the future will bring.”
