Pensions consultancy Acuity acquired by Lumera
Insurance technology firm Lumera has acquired professional services group Acuity for an undisclosed fee. As Lumera seeks to expand its UK footprint, the combined firm will serve the pensions and insurance sector with more than 160 professionals.

Headquartered in Stockholm, with additional offices in the UK, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, India and Vietnam, Lumera is an insurtech company, which works to assist the digital transformation of the European life and pensions industry. Meanwhile, Acuity is a consultancy firm serving the UK market, specialising in complex pensions and workforce reforms for public sector pension schemes.
Combining the expertise of the two firms across health, central government and other public sector bodies, Lumera hopes to access new opportunities for growth in the UK, at a time when it is looking to enhance its client offering. Following the acquisition, Acuity will join Lumera’s UK organisation, which will then expand to around 165 employees.
Acuity has longstanding relationships with some of the UK’s largest pension schemes, including the NHS and Civil Service Pension Schemes, as well as central government departments. The firm’s team subsequently brings deep experience of delivering high-profile projects for public sector clients, from major change management programmes to evidence-led communications strategies and campaigns.
