Aon Hewitt CEO Andrew Tunningly leaves firm

Andrew Tunningley, the head of investment consulting at Aon Hewitt, has left the firm. According to a source close to the situation, Tunningley is leaving Aon Hewitt following an internal reorganization. He will be looking for a new job within the industry in the months ahead. Top manager Tunningley has declined to comment.

Tunningley, a former professional rugby player, has worked for more than 20 years for Aon Hewitt and its juridische voorgangers. In his last position, he was head of investment consulting at Aon Hewitt and Hewitt Associates prior to its merger with fellow US consulting firm Aon Corporation. Aon and Hewitt Associates merged in juli 2010: the combined firm became the largest HR consulting firm in the world.

At the same time Aon merged with Hewitt Associates, it purchased EnnisKnupp, a privately-owned US investment consultant. Andrew Tunningley played a large role in the integration of the three-way merger. Thousands of employees were integrated, compensation & benefits were harmonized and five different performance-reporting systems were combined into one.
