Kantata launches new AI platform for consulting workflow
Professional services solutions provider Kantata has commenced the roll-out of an AI platform. Aimed at audit and advisory experts, the new service seeks to scale expertise across projects, people and AI agents.
“Kantata’s Expertise Engine puts a firm’s entire history of success, to work to improve every future engagement,” said Vikas Nehru, chief technology officer at Kantata. “Unlike generic AI tools, the Kantata Expertise Engine learns continuously from people, processes, and past engagements so firms don’t just get faster; they get better.”
Kantata is a global provider of professional services automation (PSA) solutions. Its Expertise Engine represents “the first AI solution built specifically for professional services firms”, according to a release from the company. This potentially means firmwide knowledge, including projects, deliverables, conversations, and outcomes, can be transformed into actionable intelligence across the services lifecycle.
“The industry doesn’t need more generic copilots or one-off AI agents,” added Michael Speranza, Kantata’s chief executive officer. “What it needs is an engine that understands how services firms actually operate. It learns from every project, every proposal, every engagement, and turns that knowledge into an advantage no competitor can match.”
A further explanation from Kantata – itself produced with the help of generative AI – further noted that the platform includes a proprietary services language model; helping clients to know where they stand by providing a “comprehensive industry performance dataset” to check themselves against.
“For years, too much of our expertise was locked in decks or the heads of consultants,” noted Simon Goldsmith of FOIL, a UK-based consulting firm and customer. “The Kantata Expertise Engine changes that. It makes our experience reusable. Proposals practically build themselves; and that will change how we compete and grow.”
