Emergn promotes Aldis Erglis to become first chief AI officer

Emergn has appointed Aldis Erglis as its very first chief AI officer. Erglis will lead the creation of the firm’s AI-first strategy, across operations, products, and client services.

“Aldis has been pivotal in shaping our AI-first strategy,” said Alex Adamopoulos, Emergn chair and CEO. “With his appointment, we’re deepening our commitment to AI as a strategic growth engine that further aligns with our global leadership in the product management space.”

According to Adamopoulos, a successful AI strategy needs to connect several components, including “an organisation’s product operating model, time to value, customer experience, operational efficiency, and the mindset that strongly influences culture”. He believes that Erglis’ experience and expertise mean he is the right person “to lead our next phase of transformation.”

With headquarters in Boston and London, Emergn is a professional services firm which works with the world’s most respected businesses – including Fortune 500, FTSE 100, and Global 2000 companies. The firm supports clients with the shift from project to product-centered organisations, and to shape, build, and deliver their products and services.

As organisations worldwide navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by AI, Emergn is adapting to do the same in that space. The company’s strategic focus on deploying AI underscores its commitment to creating new value streams alongside its established consulting services – having designed and built AI/ML solutions since 2015 for several global enterprise companies. In the newly established role of chief AI officer, Erglis will look to accelerate the development of new products and services of this kind.

He brings over two decades of experience driving technological innovation and leading transformative initiatives within global organisations. Previously, Erglis served as Emergn’s vice president of technology strategy, where he supported clients in strengthening workflows, driving digital transformation, and advancing AI initiatives. He led the Machine Learning Lab in Latvia, which creates, tests, and experiments with new technologies.

“For sixteen years, our Value, Flow, Quality (VFQ) philosophy has guided sustainable transformation for clients. Now, we’re scaling AI-driven solutions to empower teams and clients to apply VFQ in new ways and reach new levels of excellence,” said Erglis.
