Michelle Richardson joins PMP as director in Manchester

Building consultancy PMP has appointed a new projects director to its Manchester office. Michelle Richardson will now work to facilitate the firm’s expansion into project management services in the North West.

Richardson commented, “It’s an exciting time to join PMP. Our client base is growing rapidly, and with this, so is the demand for a full suite of services. The North West property market is booming, meaning there are so many opportunities for project management firms to excel. I can’t wait to get stuck in, helping Ben to grow our PMP projects team to new heights and deliver incredible results across the region.”

In the UK, the firm has bases in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Bristol, as well as its headquarters in Manchester. Richardson will now set up a new project management team in the North West of England.

Originally from an architectural background, Richardson’s skillset lies in understanding entire lifecycles of projects across various sizes, values, and sectors. She boasts more than 20 years of experience in the property sector, including a long stint at Deloitte’s real estate team, along with more recent roles at Motion Project Management, and Property Alliance Group.  

She began her new role earlier in October, and will oversee PMP’s range of project management briefs, working with its national client base including Royal London and Marks and Spencer.

The appointment marks a new chapter for PMP Manchester, which has just celebrated its best year in business. The regional team, headed up by director Ben Walker, has witnessed increased demand for project management services in the North West after a string of multi-million-pound project wins. This includes a £5 million cladding scheme in Ancoats, and a £2 million office refurbishment in Spinningfields.
