Kevin Densmore becomes chief technology officer at CF

Bringing more than two decades of experience to the role, Kevin Densmore has joined CF to lead its technology plans. A former Big Four expert, he arrives as the firm looks to ramp up its offerings around AI and digital tools for health sector clients.

Ben Richardson, managing partner of life sciences at CF, stated, “I look forward to collaborating with Kevin as we advance data, digital, and AI initiatives for our clients in life sciences, health technology, and health systems. He brings a true passion and enthusiasm for AI and his combination of technical expertise and business judgement will be instrumental in supporting our clients to meet their objectives, ensuring they remain competitive while delivering exceptional care outcomes.”

For more than 20 years, Densmore has served as an expert across industries, including health and life sciences and professional services. Having led and delivered cost reduction tracking in hospital systems as well as synergy capture and carve-outs for multinational pharmaceutical companies, he also spent time with PwC. At the Big Four firm, he played a central role in the firm’s partnership with Palantir and in the firm’s own digital, data, and AI enablement journey.

As CF looks to strengthen its expertise around AI in the health and life sciences sector, its chief technology officer role will now be underpinned by decades of experience in data analytics and technology consulting. At the same time, CF will continue to expand its work in health data science and AI applications across the health ecosystem.

Commenting on his appointment, Densmore added, "I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined CF as Chief Technology Officer. Over the past two decades, I’ve had the privilege of working across sectors to help organisations unlock value by developing applications, automation, analytics, and AI to turn data into insights and drive efficiencies that make a tangible impact. At CF, I’m excited to be turning my attention to the purpose-rich mission of healthcare; helping clients apply and realise their AI ambitions to the benefit of patients and customers everywhere.”

A consulting firm which specialises in healthcare advisory, CF is well known for having access to more data on the NHS than any other company and for being experts in its use. This has seen it evolve from supporting pandemic-era decision-making, to becoming partners with the NHS, Palantir and Accenture in the Federated Data Platform programme, which has rolled out to more than 80 hospitals across the country. It has also expanded into new markets, including Saudi Arabia, where the regime is deploying data, digital and AI innovations to power its Vision 2030 strategy.

Hannah Farrar, CEO of CF, concluded, " Kevin’s appointment is a significant step forward in building our technology capabilities and I am thrilled to have him in the team. Our understanding of data, digital and AI is what distinguishes CF’s services, and it presents our clients with some of their greatest opportunities. Kevin’s experience allows us unlock innovation and deliver impact in an ever-evolving landscape.”
