Sam Hart new leader of Deloitte’s 700-person team in Bristol
Big Four firm Deloitte has appointed Sam Hart as the new office senior partner at the Deloitte office in Bristol. She leads a team of over 700 people in region.
One of 20 offices across the UK, Deloitte’s 700-person team in Bristol is now under the leadership of Sam Hart, who will work to foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
“Deloitte’s senior team in the region has been strengthened by Sam’s appointment,” said Dave Tansley, practice senior partner for the South West and Wales.” I am delighted to be working with both Sam and Ian Howse, office senior partner for Wales, as we set the strategic direction for Deloitte in our region.”
“I have no doubt that she will ensure that Deloitte Bristol continues to be a rewarding place to work, while serving clients from across the region and beyond,” added Tansley.
Hart’s appointment comes on the heels of Deloitte’s major investment in the city, which included opening its new, sustainable office space in August of last year. The modern space at Finzel’s Reach has been crucial in establishing a vibrant hub for the local business community.
Bristol roots
Hart is seen as a great fit for the position. A native Bristolian, she has over 30 years of experience in professional services, and has been at Deloitte since 2005. She has a good mix of extensive industry experience, strong relationships with clients, a love for pushing other team members to develop, and a passion for Bristol.
Speaking on the appointment, Hart said, “Having lived and worked in Bristol all my life, I’m passionate about the city’s vibrant culture and its trajectory of being a great place to live and work. Alongside our deep wealth of experience in wider professional services, Deloitte is also ideally positioned to contribute to Bristol’s continued growth through implementing technology, innovation, and AI solutions for clients.”

Hart has also directed some of her efforts back into the community. She has been involved with Deloitte’s social impact strategy and – apart from her work with the firm – has led volunteering and fundraising efforts for the Bristol and Weston Hospitals Charity.
