Former BDO senior named finance director at Clearpoint Recycling
Waste management company, Clearpoint Recycling, has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Jason Crooks. He becomes the group finance director of the Harrogate-based company, while also joining its board.
Commenting on his appointment, Crooks said, “Clearpoint Recycling unites purpose and performance, and I’m excited to bring my financial leadership to an ambitious, values-driven team making a real impact in the circular economy. It’s an exciting time to join, and I’m energised by the challenge of helping Clearpoint achieve its goals.”
Crooks’ career spans 15 years in the professional services sector. Having come through as a trainee at BDO, he became an audit senior with the consulting firm, before spending a further year as an assistant manager with KPMG. He followed this senior financial leadership roles in industry at Redcentric and, most recently, IDHL Group, where he supported multi-divisional operations generating around £13 million in annual revenue and led the integration of three acquisitions.
Clearpoint Recycling specialises in sustainable recycling, working with businesses to source locally and sell globally to reduce waste, recover resources, and advance the transition to a circular economy. Over the last year, it has grown its international client base by opening a dedicated sales office in Lithuania, and securing new long-term contracts across Europe.
The installation of Crooks as finance director will support the company as it works toward a projected turnover of £20 million by 2026, among a number of other strategic growth plans. As a member of the board, he will work with Clearpoint Recycling’s senior leadership team to deliver the company’s next phase of growth.
