Data consultancy Carruthers and Jackson inks partnership with Microsoft

Global data consultancy Carruthers and Jackson has announced a new collaboration with Microsoft. The agreement will see the two firms work together to provide holistic IT services for clients.
Businesses across the industrial spectrum are currently rushing to adopt new technologies – including AI-powered digital tools – to future-proof their organisations. But they often struggle to get the most of them, thanks to difficulties obtaining or training relevant human talent. That is where an expert external partner can make all the difference.
Carruthers and Jackson is a global data consultancy, which is part of the Praesto Group. Founded in 2018, it offers strategic advice, training, and technology solutions to clients including the Bank of England, Visit Britain, Channel 4 and the British Heart Foundation.
With its new collaboration with Microsoft – which is increasingly adding AI tools to its software – Carruthers and Jackson will use its expertise to help firms realise the potential of new technologies. The firms will provide clients with an end-to-end service, helping organisations embarking on data and AI transformations, and embedding data-driven cultures at every level.
"Collaborating with a global technology leader like Microsoft is a significant strategic milestone for Carruthers and Jackson,” said CEO Caroline Carruthers. “The scale and capabilities that Microsoft brings to the table will enable us to further our mission of empowering a global data community we’ve spent many years cultivating. This collaboration not only enhances our ability to drive data transformation across industries but will also help us to accelerate the adoption of data-driven cultures worldwide."
As well as combining Microsoft’s unified data solutions with Carruthers and Jackson’s data management models, the agreement will commence with Microsoft’s participation as sole partner for the firm’s upcoming Summer School for Data Leaders 2025. The free-to-attend virtual Summer School serves as a platform for senior data leaders to connect, collaborate, and learn from industry experts, including Microsoft’s leadership in data and cloud technologies.
Leighton Searle, head of data and AI for EMEA, Microsoft, added, “Collaborating with Carruthers and Jackson represents what’s possible when data leaders come together with leading-edge technology to prepare their organisation for the ubiquitous nature of AI with clarity, control and confidently activate data. Working closely with the team of consultants at Carruthers and Jackson, we can help businesses build a strong data culture, using Microsoft’s tools like Microsoft Purview to drive trusted, more sustainable business outcomes.”
Microsoft often turns to the consulting industry, when looking to help clients get the most from its services. In the last 12 months alone, it has announced partnerships with WSP to drive digital transformation in the engineering sector, extended its collaboration with PwC to grow Copilot adoption, and admitted BJSS to its specialist machine learning partner programme.
