London-based HW Fisher appoints Diccon Thornely as partner

Professional services firm HW Fisher has appointed Diccon Thornely as a partner in its London office.
With around 300 staff, HW Fisher is one of the larger accounting and consulting businesses in the Great London region. The firm, which is part of the Sumer Group, works mainly for small businesses, mid-market companies, not-for-profits, charities, high net-worth individuals and the property sector.
Now becoming the firm’s 26th partner, Diccon Thornely bringing nearly 20 years of experience to the partnership. A member of the Audit practice, he supports clients on a wide range of areas, with particular expertise in reporting under UK GAAP and IFRS as well as specialist specific sector reporting.
His experience in the private sector includes working with full list and AIM-listed entities, as well as private equity-backed organisations. He has also developed significant expertise in the not for profit sector, working extensively with higher education institutions, charities and membership organisations.
Thornely joins HW Fisher from Sedulo, where he managed to double the size of its Audit team and implemented a number of quality improvement initiatives. Prior to his role at Sedulo, he spent 15 years at Grant Thornton.
