Square 4 Partners appoints Roma Pearson as Senior Director

London-based boutique Square 4 Partners has appointed Roma Pearson as Senior Advisory Director within its Consultancy division.

Roma Pearson previously served as Director of Consumer Finance at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), where she led the supervision and policy development of the consumer lending market and held several senior positions, including Head of Mortgages & Consumer Lending, Head of Retail General Insurance, and Head of Risk Advisory. Her work has consistently focused on ensuring fair treatment of consumers, particularly under the FCA's Consumer Duty.

The appointment of Pearson comes at a critical time for financial services institutions as they face increasing pressure to meet evolving regulatory expectations, particularly in relation to the Consumer Duty regime and the FCA’s shift towards outcomes-based supervision. “With regulatory expectations evolving rapidly, institutions are under increasing pressure to not only comply but to demonstrate real commitment to delivering good outcomes for consumers,” Pearson noted.

Square 4 Partners was founded in 2021 by a team of former Big Four consultants, industry regulators, and banking leaders. The firm specialises in governance, risk, and compliance services.
