Alex Pike becomes RSM office managing partner in Reading

Professional services firm RSM UK has announced Alex Pike as its new office managing partner in Reading. He has been a partner at the firm for five years.

Paul Anthony, regional managing partner in the South at RSM UK, commented, “Alex has done a fantastic job at driving forward our deal services offering across the Thames Valley and more widely in the South region. It’s great to see him step up into a leadership role as office managing partner in Reading to further develop with the firm.”

Pike joined RSM eight years ago, and was promoted to partner in 2020. As a deal services partner in RSM’s consulting team, he has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate finance, specialising in financial due diligence for corporates and private equity investors with a focus on the technology, industrials and business services sectors.

With a 200-strong team of experts in Reading, RSM’s office there has seen significant growth over the last five years. As office managing partner, Pike will work to build on this momentum and focus on further strengthening RSM’s presence in the regional market and driving growth across the firm nationally.

Speaking on his promotion, Pike said, “Becoming office managing partner in Reading is a big milestone and I’m delighted to take on the role having spent the majority of my career working for and advising businesses in the Thames Valley. I’m looking forward to continuing to champion RSM’s strong client offering across our audit, tax and consulting services and working closely with colleagues to maintain the sense of community we have in the region, as well as further strengthening our key industries and channels.”

Pike will succeed Mike Sables, who led the office for the past five years. Looking ahead, he will focus on supporting international RSM clients, as they set up their operations in the UK.
