Millennium Consulting to celebrate 30th anniversary with event in Kent

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for Millennium Consulting as the Kent-based company celebrates 30 years of supporting organisations worldwide with finance transformation programs. To mark the milestone, the company is hosting an event for employees, supporters and partners to celebrate the occasion.

Founded in 1995 by Kent-based businessman Philip Keet, Millennium Consulting was initially born in anticipation of businesses needing to prepare for the Y2K bug. The problem in the coding of computerised systems was projected in some quarters to create havoc in computers and computer networks around the world at the beginning of the year 2000, but in the end, few major failures occurred in the transition from December 31, 1999, to January 1, 2000.

Even so, Millennium made its name quite literally from the event, and quickly gained traction, with demand for its expertise growing across the UK and Europe. In the years since, it has gone on to help its clients prepare with a myriad of challenges which have made the fears around the Millennium bug look quaint by comparison – from Brexit to Covid-19, wars in Ukraine and Gaza, and political upheaval in the US.

Now headquartered in Hythe, Kent, housed in a Grade II listed former NatWest Bank building, the company also operates a European subsidiary in Milan, Italy, reflecting its international presence and continued growth. It has also built strong partnerships with software companies, including Unit4, IFS, Avalara, Icorp, and Trintech, and supports charitable causes around the world, including Raising Futures Kenya, which empowers young people through vocational training and business skills development, and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, renowned for running the world’s most successful elephant orphan rescue and rehabilitation programme.

Looking ahead, the firm sees an exciting future in wait, as technology is rapidly evolving with advancements in big data, the cloud, AI and the Internet of Things are adopted across all industries. But while Millennium Consulting “remains committed to the forefront of innovation”, that also requires looking back to understand what has gone well for it.

Now, as the firm reflects on 30 years in business, and its journey from a small basement operation to a global consultancy, it is celebrating the dedication of its team, and the trust of its clients with a gathering at the Hythe Imperial Hotel. Employees, supporters and partners will be invited to celebrate the occasion – and help Millennium look ahead to the next 30 years of innovation, and transformative impact on organisations worldwide.
