RSM moves Milton Keynes office

Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM UK has relocated its Milton Keynes office. The move to 100 Avebury Boulevard will support the firm’s hybrid working model, and facilitate its future growth plans.

Research published at the turn of the year suggests that the UK saw its business birth rate fall to its lowest level since 2010. The Institute of Directors blaming a poor economic environment and skills shortages – but Milton Keynes seemed to be immune to these pressures. According to figures from the Office for National Statistics, around 1,690 new businesses opened in Milton Keynes in 2023, up from 1,570 a year earlier, as the city bucked the national trend.

This is a long-term part of Milton Keynes’ economy, too. It has the UK's fifth-highest number of business start-ups per capita, and is home to several major national and international companies. In 2017, it was even reported by the Centre for Economics and Business Research that Milton Keynes had overtaken Cambridge as the UK's fastest-growing town or city economy in the country.

As a result, the city’s economy boasts a highly developed professional service cluster, which – according to Invest Milton Keynes – includes more than 400 head office and financial services companies, and a specialist workforce of more than 22,000 people. As it looks to tap into this, RSM has announced it has secured a 10-year lease at the prestigious new-build business centre in the heart of Milton Keynes.

RSM Milton Keynes has seen significant growth over recent years and now has over 180 employees, with a significant trainee intake year-on-year. The move is a further investment in its people, ensuring they are best placed to support clients across the region and nationally – with the new workspace being designed to encourage collaborative working, with breakout spaces and private meeting rooms providing a dynamic work environment for colleagues and clients. The building’s central location means it is close to major transport links, with quick connectivity to cities such as London and Manchester.
