FRP launches new Bournemouth office

Bournemouth will host a new office from professional services firm FRP Advisory. The latest hub in the company’s network will be headed up by partner Sandy Kinninmonth, overseeing a local restructuring team to support the market in the wider Dorset region.

As it continues to invest in its national footprint, FRP Advisory has launched a new office in the south of England. The 33rd location across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Cyprus and the Isle of Man, the Bournemouth office will host a specialist team of seven restructuring experts.

Geoff Rowley, chief executive officer of FRP, commented, “2024 was a pivotal year in our growth strategy that saw us continue to expand our geographical reach while continuing to provide our clients with the high level of service we pride ourselves on. The creation of our Bournemouth office represents a continuation of this strategy, and we look forward to the contribution Sandy and the team make to the firm throughout 2025 and beyond.”

The new office will build on the business’ existing presence in the South of England, with teams already established in Southampton, Brighton, Bristol and Salisbury. In those areas, FRP’s national restructuring team has already supported a wide range of high-profile administrations and business rescues in recent years, including The Body Shop, Jessops and Debenhams.

The office is set to be led by Sandy Kinninmonth, a partner at FRP, and James Prior, a director. They will look to help local firms build on their strong recent performance in recent years, even as they remain exposed to the wider economic challenges facing businesses across the country, from weak consumer demand, to elevated interest rates and increased national insurance contributions.

Kinninmonth added, “With insolvencies already at a historically high level, it’s key that businesses of all sizes can access the guidance and support required to navigate times of difficulty. Our demonstrated expertise in this area means that we’re well placed to act as a supportive partner to the region’s businesses in the years to come.”

The move represents the latest step in FRP’s expansion. It follows shortly after the launch of the firm’s first offices in Northern Ireland and Wales in 2024 – a year in which it completed five acquisitions, including Southampton-based Hilton-Baird and valuations specialist Globalview.
