Daniel Foster joins BDO as partner

Daniel Foster has joined BDO’s East Anglian audit team. He will serve as a partner in the company’s Cambridge office.
Peter Harrup, head of BDO in East Anglia, commented, "Daniel has an excellent reputation in the region and will add real value to our audit proposition as we look to build our local market presence.”
Audit and advisory brand BDO boasts offices in East Anglia across the hubs of Norwich, Ipswich and Cambridge. The region is a growth target for the firm, amid sustained investment from the mid-market – where BDO specialises.
According to research from BDO in 2024, mid-sized businesses in East Anglia plan to invest millions over the next five years. Two-fifths of them would be budgeting to spend upwards of £5 million to grow their companies, according to the study.
Daniel Foster’s arrival will help cater to this growth, bringing more than a decade of Big Four experience to BDO’s East Anglian outfit. Arriving from EY, where he spent 14 years – the last four of which were as partner – he possesses a wealth of experience in supporting mid-market companies and listed businesses in the area.
To that end, Harrup added that Foster would further bolster BDO’s “expertise and experience”, in the firm’s “market heartland”.
Looking ahead, Foster himself remarked, "I’m really looking forward to working alongside the established team in Cambridge to grow the business. BDO has a strong tradition of working with private businesses in the Cambridge region, and I want to strengthen our offering in the market."
