Matt Wood named global commercial technology and innovation lead at PwC
PwC has appointed Matt Wood to its global leadership team. As the firm’s global commercial technology and innovation officer, he will work to strengthen the Big Four firm’s ability to deliver end-to-end technology solutions.

Wood formerly spent 14 years with Amazon Web Services, where he was a vice president for artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Amazon, he completed a PhD in machine learning and a post-doctorate in bioinformatics at Weill-Cornell Medicine in New York.
Looking ahead, his expertise will be instrumental in refining and accelerating PwC’s global technology strategy to deliver next generation solutions. In particular, Wood said he would be working with PwC’s clients and internal teams to “help them transform, reinvent and get ready to harness the power of what comes next”.
