haysmacintyre appoints Geoff Johnson as partner in financial services team

Professional services firm haysmacintyre has appointed Geoff Johnson as a partner in the financial services sector team. His appointment continues haysmacintyre’s ambitious growth plans, with turnover having increased by 81% over the past five years.
Speaking on the news, Natasha Frangos, managing partner at haysmacintyre, said, “Geoff brings with him vast experience in the Financial Services sector, an area of our business where we have seen consistently impressive growth, thanks to the excellent work of our specialist team. We are excited to welcome him to the firm as we strive towards our ambitious growth plans.”
According to Frangos, haysmacintyre is “continually evolving” its offering across all service lines and sectors, reinforced through its group of partners. Illustrating this, Johnson will take on multifaceted responsibilities within the firm’s financial services team, which spans audit, outsourcing, accounts, VAT and partnership, corporate and personal taxes.
Johnson joins haysmacintyre from Blick Rothenberg, where he was a partner, and brings a wealth of experience across all areas of audit, accounting and outsourcing. His prior 17 years of experience spans hedge funds and captive insurance companies based in the Cayman Islands, to work in Canada and now the UK working with FCA regulated managers, and the private equity and venture capital funds they manage.
Reflecting on his appointment as a partner, Johnson added, “I am thrilled to be joining the award-winning team at haysmacintyre during a period of unprecedented growth for the firm and the sector. I particularly enjoy developing long-term client relationships, drawing on my career experience from around the world and different regulatory environments. I look forward to supporting the Financial Services team as it continues its strong track record in providing top tier accounting services.”
The London-based firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors has over 550 partners and staff providing advice to entrepreneurs, fast-growing and owner-managed businesses, and listed and not for profit organisations across the UK and internationally. The firm’s turnover growth of 81% over the last five years comes against the backdrop of a longstanding commitment to its people, with haysmacintyre recognised as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work in 2024.
