Richard Neish to lead tech consultancy 101 Ways
London-based technology and product consultancy 101 Ways has installed a new CEO. The former chief strategy office of Kin + Carta, Richard Neish joins as 101 Ways looks to deploy a new growth strategy.
101 Ways is a technology and product consultancy which supports brands with transformations of their people, culture, technology, and data. With clients including M&S and Just Eat, 101 Ways drives transformation through delivery, positively impacting the people, technology and processes of clients by leading and doing.
The firm agreed a deal with Growth Capital Partners (GCP) in 2023, which sold a minority stake to the investor. Since the move, the firm has been working closely with the private equity backer to achieve ambitious growth plans.
To help oversee that transformation, 101 Ways has welcomed a new CEO, in the shape of Richard Neish. Taking over from Zane Gambasin, who steps into the role of chief operating officer, Neish brings more than two decades of technology consulting experience to the firm, and head up an executive team of six.
Neish said of his new role, “101 Ways’ strong foundations of technical excellence and trusted delivery, enabled by a diverse and innovative culture, are potent catalysts for the scaling journey ahead. The outstanding leadership team at 101 Ways, coupled with the technology sector expertise of Growth Capital Partners, makes for a compelling next stage of the consultancy’s journey, and I’m looking forward to being at the beating heart of it.”
Transforming a firm’s remit is something that Neish has a great deal of experience of. He joins from digital transformation consultancy Kin + Carta, where he led the firm's strategic vision as global chief strategy officer. In that time, he led a refocused pure-play custom software and data transformation proposition, AI strategy, and spearheaded its scaling journey in North America, LatAm and Europe.
Prior to leading Kin + Carta Neish was also managing director of the technology innovation business Dare, overseeing its sale and integration to the Oliver Group.
Ravi Monteiro, partner at Growth Capital Partners, added, “We are delighted to welcome Richard onboard. He brings a wealth of experience across technology and digital services that will support the continued development of 101 Ways as it delivers its exciting growth plans.”
