HKA tops construction expert witnesses list
An analysis of expert witness providers in the construction sector has found HKA to be the best performing firm. It is the eighth year running that the firm has topped the Who’s Who Legal Construction Expert Witnesses list.
HKA is a global consultancy specialising in risk mitigation, dispute resolution, expert witness and litigation support services. As well as more than 500 advisors and consultants across 45+ offices in 17 countries, this means HKA also has 500 expert witnesses in its ranks.
This enables HKA to help resolve disputes in expert determination, mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and litigation. Experienced as party or tribunal appointed experts, the firm’s experts can advise and, if needed, give evidence under cross-examination in jurisdictions worldwide.
In recent years, HKA has been growing its offering in the arbitration market through both organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Reflecting this expanding prowess, earlier in 2024, this saw the firm named as one of the top performers in Global Arbitration Review’s annual power-ranking of the industry.
Now, the global Who’s Who Legal (WWL) analysis of expert witnesses in construction has followed this up, by selecting HKA as its top firm in the sector. The news sees HKA’s specialists in the construction sector commended as the leaders of the space’s expert witnesses market for the eighth consecutive year.
Renny Borhan, HKA’s CEO, said, “I’m thrilled to see HKA top the 2024 Who’s Who Legal Construction Expert Witnesses analysis again this year. Having 81 experts featured from our offices around the world endorses the outstanding work undertaken by our quantum, delay, technical and damages analysts on some of the world’s largest and most complex construction dispute projects. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our peers, clients, and instructing lawyers who took the time to provide references and endorsements for our experts.”
The WWL Construction Expert Witnesses 2024 analysis involves months of research, canvassing and evaluating the opinions of law firm clients and construction experts from around the world. It is an authoritative international guide to expert advisers and witnesses on quantum, delay and disruption, and damages, as well as forensic technical issues in major construction arbitration and litigation.
The researchers found that HKA remained at the fore in this field, with a world-leading 81 experts, drawn from its offices in America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania. At the same time, along with topping the construction table once again, HKA also ranked number one in the WWL Performance Index for construction.
To that end, Borhan added, “Enormous congratulations to all of our experts listed in this year’s guide for their commitment and this excellent recognition. This validates their professional standing and reputation in the industry, the outstanding services they provide to clients and the expertise they demonstrate on complex dispute matters.”
