AlixPartners acquires automotive consultancy Berylls

AlixPartners has confirmed it is acquiring the majority operations of Berylls. The addition of the automotive consultancy will add more than 100 experts to AlixPartners’ teams in six countries.

Founded in 2011, The Berylls Group is a professional services firm supporting automotive clients in Germany, China, the UK, South Korea, North America, Austria, and Switzerland. This sees the firm help clients future-proof and digitalise their automotive ecosystems, offering end-to-end services from strategy to final implementation.

By joining AlixPartners, Berylls hopes to open up these services to a wider client-base around the world. Given the strong brand recognition that Berylls enjoys, these services will continue to be taken to market under its own label – now expanded to ‘Berylls by AlixPartners’.

Founded in 1981, AlixPartners is headquartered in New York and has offices around the world. With the addition of Berylls’ 150 experts, AlixPartners’ dedicated automotive industry wing will grow to 325 professionals, reflecting a commitment to expand the business globally.

In addition to bolstering AlixPartners’s global automotive service offerings, the combination will bring new senior leaders to the firm. Burgard will take the role of global co-head of the AlixPartners automotive and industrial practice, while fellow co-founder and executive partner Jan Dannenberg will serve as joint regional leader for Germany at AlixPartners – together with Andreas Rueter. Andreas Radics as managing director of Berylls will join Rueter to be co-chair of the integration steering committee.
