Portera boosts leadership with senior partner Mustafa Aktas

International technology consultancy Portera has boosted its leadership team with the hire of Mustafa Aktas.

Appointed as Senior Partner and Vice President for Business Development, Mustafa Aktas brings over two decades of experience in technology to the boutique consultancy firm, gained both in industry and consulting.

In his new role, Aktas will lead data-focused consulting and technology engagements, and spearhead the Portera’s growth and new business agenda. “I’m delighted to have joined Portera. Founded in 2014, Portera is a firm that provides business transformations and technology consultancy services. From its offices in Amsterdam (headquarters) and London, the firm last year delivered projects in 20+ countries.

Alongside a range of management consulting services, Portera has deep technology expertise, among others in data analytics, artificial intelligence, robotics, cloud computing, and enterprise IT platforms. According to Aktas, the firm’s growing impact in the market and agile approach proved particularly attractive.

Aktas joins Portera from Accenture, where he was Head of Banking and Financial Services for the Dutch market. Before that, he led Accenture’s Oracle Sales & Business Development team. Earlier in his career, Aktas spent a decade at technology giants Orcale and Hewlett Packard, among others.

Alongside his role at Portera, Aktas is also a part-time lecturer on Data Science, Design, Management, Modeling and Processing Technology – with a big focus on AI and Analytics at the University of Groningen, enabling him to combine his passion for academy with practical industry experience (Aktas holds a PhD in Data Processing from the VU in Amsterdam).
