MCA opens submissions for 2024 awards
The Management Consultancies Association has formally launched its 2024 awards calendar. The organisation is inviting submissions from firms across the country.
Hosted annually by the UK consulting industry’s representative body, the MCA Awards are the biggest event in the industry’s calendar. Highlighting the work done by consultants in partnership with clients as well as the talent across the sector, each year, the awards continue to grow. 2023 saw record numbers of entries from over 50 leading consulting firms and 85 client organisations, and a ceremony with over 1,000 attendees including representatives from government and the media as well as clients and MCA member firms.
The work of the MCA awards organisers never seems to end, though – and as soon as October’s ceremony closed its doors, they began work for the following year’s ceremony. Now, the MCA awards has officially launched its 2024 calendar, with the awards process now open for consulting firms to enter and start preparing their entries.
The full list of projects and individual categories was announced this morning along with the new line up of experts forming the independent judging panel. The awards will once again feature popular categories such as ‘Young Consultant of the Year’ and ‘Technology Transformation’ as well as ‘Sustainability’ and the ‘Chartered Management Consultant of the Year’ – reflecting the diversity of the industry, and how its work helps UK clients face their biggest challenges.
Tamzen Isacsson, MCA Chief Executive, commented, “We’re delighted to be launching the MCA Awards 2024 again a truly industry wide event that aims to demonstrate the incredible value that the consulting sector delivers for our clients across the UK and the world and society. We’re grateful that so many brilliant judges have agreed to join the panel once again this year and thank them for their time and expertise they so willingly dedicate to our industry. We encourage all firms to carefully read all the entry terms and conditions and plan their written entries with clients early as only the best will get through, in what is a very tough and competitive process.”
Helping the MCA whittle down those final selections will be a judging panel from academia, the media industry, government and the private sector. Judges for 2024 include Simon Jack, BBC Business Editor; Lord Adebowale CBE, Chair of the NHS Confederation; Jacqui Rock, NHS England's Chief Commercial Officer; Cecil Adjalo, Co-Founder and COO of Foundervine and Nick Owen CBE, former Chair of Deloitte. At the same time, the panel for the 2024 edition will also be joined by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thomson; broadcaster Matt Frei and Deputy Business Editor for The Times, Tracey Boles.
Entry to the contest will remain open from now until February 2024. After the shortlist of finalists is announced in May, interviews with consultants, firms and their clients will then take place in June and July. This will determine the winners announced at a gala on the 15th of October, at Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Mayfair district.
