MHA Moore & Smalley hires Rob Dawes to lead transaction services

Global accounting and advisory network MHA has added to its corporate finance expertise in Manchester with the arrival of RobDawes.

Appointed a partner at MHA Moore & Smalley, Dawes has been tasked with building a dedicated transaction services team tocomplement the firm’s existing specialisms in mergers & acquisitions, fundraising and valuations.

“MHA Moore & Smalley has built real momentum in the corporate finance market over the last few years. There is currently huge demand in the market for transaction services and I’m looking forward immensely to helping the firm to offer this valuable service to clients,” said Dawes.

With over 370 staff and now 26 partners, MHA Moore & Smalley is one of the larger member firms of MHA in the United Kingdom. MHA collectively employs 106 partners, 1,152 staff and has a combined turnover of £142 million. The collective is an independent member of Baker Tilly, the world’s 9th largest accountancy-origin professional services firm.

The new transaction services team will work with mid-market corporates and private equity firms to provide financial due diligence and strategic deal advisory services.

Prior to joining MHA, Dawes was a director at Grant Thornton, where he spent five years. Prior to this, he worked in corporate finance roles for several Big Four firms, both in the UK and Australia.
