Delta Capita selects Perigon Partners for sustainability alliance
Capital markets consultancy Delta Capita has penned a new partnership with Perigon Partners. The firms will now work to advance the sustainability offering for Delta Capita’s global client base.
As climate change continues to pose mounting risks for investments around the world, the UK financial services sector has taken on a leading role in pushing for sustainability legislation and regulation. The firms also have a role to play in financing the transition to a low-carbon economy, though. To deliver on this aspect of sustainability in financial services, businesses are turning to consulting firms to help evaluate where their money can have the greatest impact.
Delta Capita, which specialises in managed services and technology advice for capital markets clients around the world, is seeing demand in this area rise quickly. To help meet it, the firm has partnered with Perigon – an expert sustainability advisory.
Perigon Founding Partner Nick Walford commented, “Delta Capita deeply appreciates the importance of these issues, and our partnership brings together like-minded teams with complementary skillsets to extend how we both support clients.”
The move will advance Delta Capita’s sustainability consulting offering, by providing its clients access to Perigon’s advisory services – including diagnostic capabilities such as double materiality assessments, ESG due diligence, sustainability strategy advisory, reporting guidance, and communication advisory. This can help them develop sustainable strategies that are aligned with their commercial goals.
Commenting on the news, Delta Capita Chief Sustainability Officer Diane Eshleman added, “Teaming up with Perigon Partners to help our clients make an impact on these domains of sustainability is compelling. Using Perigon Partners’ experience in sustainability strategy, and their proprietary double materiality assessment tool, we have been able to provide our clients with tailored strategies best aligned with their business operations and stakeholder demands, directed at sustainability issues they can influence best.”
With its collaboration with Perigon, Delta Capita has once again demonstrated its commitment to expanding its sustainability practice. The firm’s internal practice has previously also been recognised by EcoVadis, which awarded the team a silver rating for 2023, placing Delta Capita in the top 25% of its ranking of over 100,000 companies, when it comes to sustainability.
The partnership also comes at important time for the financial services industry as sustainability-related regulations are becoming more and more prevalent, such as the new IFRS S1 and S2 standards recently issued by the ISSB, and stakeholders are increasingly requesting on-demand ESG metrics. At the same time, the threat of activist investment is on the rise – with more than 100 activist groups currently looking to use minority stakes to drive change on matters including sustainability, across Europe.
