Caroline Grant leads Slalom's 120-strong team in Manchester
Slalom has named ex-Accenture executive Caroline Grant as the new Managing Director of its operation in Manchester.
In her new role, Caroline Grant leads a team of around 120 consultants and staff operating out of Slalom’s Manchester hub – one of the firm’s two offices in the UK alongside London.
The US-origin consultancy has been active in the UK market since 2014, with its Manchester office opening its doors in 2019. Last year, the award-winning firm passed the 500-employees mark in the UK, and 13,000 mark worldwide.
Speaking on her move to Slalom, Grant said: “I’ve been watching with interest since Slalom’s inception in the UK. The culture – living purpose-driven values – has become increasingly important to me. It’s easy to say you’re a people-first organisation but it’s rare to see it evidenced in real life as it is at Slalom.”
“I’m thrilled to be part of the brilliant Manchester team, continuing to connect Slalom’s business and technology consulting with local organisations and wider community, as we’re still a relative newcomer to the market. I’ve been working in and around Manchester for the past four years and I think both the passion and talent of the teams, coupled by the dynamism of local business, creates a unique and exciting environment for growth.”
Grant has more than 18 years of experience working both within and outside consulting, the last 16 of which spent with Accenture. Most recently, she led Accenture’s Strategy & Consulting division across the North West, and previously, led some of the firm’s larger clients in the chemicals and natural resources landscape across the UK & Ireland.
In her earlier days at the firm, Grant worked on numerous business and technology transformations, with a focus on projects in the energy and oil & gas sectors, as well as in the manufacturing, health and public service space.
Commenting on Grant’s appointment, Slalom UK & Ireland President, Dave Williams, said: “I’m so excited to welcome Caroline into the Slalom business. She strongly represents Slalom’s purpose-focus and people-first culture and, as we look to grow our presence in the North, her people skills and client expertise will be invaluable. We look forward to the positive impact she will provide for our team and customers.”
The news follows Slalom being ranked as a top consulting firm in the UK by Consultancy.org, and an employer of choice by Great Place to Work.
