Praesto Consulting seals deal for Carruthers and Jackson
Praesto Consulting has completed the addition of Carruthers and Jackson, creating a combined firm of more than 100 staff. The move will see the companies deliver a holistic data consulting solution to clients around the world.
Founded in 2009, Praesto Consulting is an international advisory firm specialising in enterprise performance management (EPM), data and insights, and customer relationship management (CRM).
Before its latest dealings, the company hosted around 95 staff in offices in London, New York, Paris, Dublin, Rotterdam and Lisbon. With the bolt-on of fellow London-based consulting firm Carruthers and Jackson, the firm adds a further 10 staff to its footprint, lifting its headcount to 100+.
Carruthers and Jackson is a consultancy that helps organisations harness the power of data and generate maximum value from it – with past clients including Channel 4, Teenage Cancer Trust and British Heart Foundation, along with businesses of all shapes and sizes from around the world.
“We are excited to welcome Carruthers and Jackson to be part of Praesto Consulting,” commented Jem Ranson, CEO of Praesto Consulting. “They are an incredible company and team of experts that major organisations rely on to define and drive data driven culture. I’m confident that this partnership offers a new approach to data consulting that will enable our clients to fully realise their data vision, navigating them through each stage of their data transformation journey.”
While the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, the merger of Carruthers and Jackson into Praesto Consulting is effective immediately.
Looking ahead, the Carruthers and Jackson team of consultants will maintain their branding, but operate under Praesto – with “Part of Praesto Group” added to the firm’s logo. The integration will also see Caroline Carruthers continue as CEO of the Carruthers and Jackson unit, leading the firm’s consultancy and events offerings – while co-founder, Peter Jackson, will continue in his role as co-presenter of the group’s annual Summer School for Data Leaders.
Carruthers noted, “We are thrilled to join forces with Praesto Consulting as we begin our next chapter with the enhanced scale and resources to solve any client problem, no matter how big or complex. From the moment I met Jem, it was clear that we shared a vision for a people-first approach to solving problems simply for clients. Together with Praesto Consulting, we are accelerating our journey by providing the scale of team and geographical reach to meet any technology related challenge for our clients. We look forward to defining a new, best-of-breed era for data consulting that starts with understanding what the client really needs.”
The move comes a year after Praesto picked up Boxfusion Consulting – a consultancy specialising in Oracle CX services, using the customer experience platform to boost the offerings of its clients. The deal accelerated Praesto’s growth strategy, by expanding its business into another high impact CRM technology. According to Praesto’s leaders, its addition of Boxfusion’s 39 data and insights and CRM experts enabled customers to have a bigger and stronger consultancy partner available.
On Monday, Praesto was named one of the UK’s leading data science consulting firms in Consultancy.uk’s new cross-industry rankings.
