FRP announces 12 new partner promotions
Business advisory firm FRP has announced a dozen partner promotions across its UK services. The move comes as part of 73 promotions across FRP’s corporate finance, restructuring advisory, financial advisory, forensic services and business development teams, as well as support functions including IT and HR.
With more than 570 staff, FRP is a specialist consulting firm that works to assist companies as they transform their operations via deals. The firm offers corporate restructuring, corporate finance, forensic services, pensions advisory and debt advisory services – while also boasting a strong reputation for creating, preserving, and recovering value across a range of complex situations.
After a year of solid growth for FRP, the firm has been working to broaden its range of services. Earlier in 2023, the firm launched a new financial advisory pillar to meet client demand, while late in 2022, it opened its first overseas office in Cyprus. As FRP looks to build on that momentum, and reward the hard work of its staff in the UK, it has announced a raft of 12 partner promotions across its functions.
Operating out of the firm’s Reading and London West End offices, Bilal Hasan becomes a Partner in the firm’s corporate finance team. Since joining the firm in 2021, he has advised the subsidiaries of global conglomerates – while his primary focus is on advising mid-market private companies, typically with revenues ranging between £5 million to £100 million.
At FRP’s City of London office, David Hinrichsen has been named Partner in the restructuring advisory team. The licensed insolvency practitioner joined FRP in 2013. In the same office, Justin Matthews – who has been with FRP’s financial advisory wing since 2016 – also becomes a Partner. And Richard Sanfourche, who has been in the same team since 2010, similarly becomes Partner. Meanwhile, Clare Quinn-Waters becomes a Partner within FRP’s business development team – having first joined in 2021.
In Birmingham, Ben Jones becomes a Partner in restructuring advisory, a sector he has worked in since 2008. He is joined by Gemma Jones, who has worked in restructuring advisory since 2006, providing advisory services to stressed and distressed businesses and supporting them through challenging periods in their business life cycle.
Elsewhere, FRP’s Bristol office has promoted Jonathan Dunn to Partner within the firm’s restructuring advisory team, having gained a wealth of experience working in the restructuring profession since 2003 and is a qualified accountant and insolvency practitioner.. At the same time, Matt Whitchurch is now a Partner within its financial advisory team. Since 2018, he has worked with FRP to provide financial due diligence services and pre-lend reviews to a range of clients, in addition to employer covenant support to pension scheme trustees.
Mark Hodgett has been promoted to Partner within the Leeds-based restructuring advisory team. He has worked in restructuring since 2001, and provides advisory services to businesses and lenders across a wide variety of sectors – particularly retail and financial services – at a regional, national and international level.
Phil Harris has also been appointed Partner in the restructuring advisory team based in Brighton. His previous assignments have included leading the team managing the accelerated merger and acquisition, and subsequent administration, of a £28 million-turnover food manufacturing business
Finally, Sarah Cook has been promoted to Partner within the restructuring advisory team at FRP’s St Albans office. She has worked on a wide range of assignments, including administrations, liquidations, company voluntary arrangements, individual voluntary arrangements and bankruptcies.
Jeremy French, COO at FRP, commented, “This latest round of promotions speaks to the breadth and depth of talent in our organisation, and the opportunity for colleagues to progress and build successful careers here. These promotions recognise the valuable contributions that our colleagues have made to FRP’s ongoing success and it’s incredibly satisfying to see them continue to fulfil their potential.”
