Aegon promotes Jordan Irvine to Client Director
Wealth management and asset advisory Aegon has appointed Jordan Irvine as a new Client Director. He brings a decade of experience to the role.
Aegon offers clients life insurance, pensions and asset management. Headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, the firm has more than 26,000 employees around the world. As the firm looks to improve its offering to public sector clients, Aegon has added Jordan Irvine to its Client Director team.
Head of UK institutional business, Jill Johnston, commented, “Jordan brings a wealth of pension and investment knowledge to his new role. This, coupled with the team’s existing expertise, will enable us to build our presence in the local government pension sector, a key focus area for the business.”
He initially joined the firm in 2022, working in Aegon Asset Management’s distribution team. Irvine will now be based in Edinburgh, reporting to Johnston. He will be responsible for managing the firm’s existing third-party institutional relationships whilst also covering sales in the local government pensions sector.
Prior to his time with Aegon, Irvine spent nine years with competitor Hymans Robertson, where he was latterly a Senior Investment Consultant. In that role, he advised both private and public sector defined benefit schemes, while he also spent time as investment director for Hymans Robertson Investment Services working closely with key independent financial advisors.
Irvine replaces Fiona Hope, who has decided to retire from the role of Client Director at Aegon Asset Management at the end of June 2023. She has been in the company since 2014, and the industry since 1987.
Speaking on Hope’s departure, Johnston added, “I would also like to thank Fiona for all her hard work and commitment to our clients.”
