PA Consulting has appointed Mike Hyne as a Partner in its health and life sciences practice. The move comes as the firm looks to meet rising demand for consultants specialising in the sector.

The global life science tools market size was valued at $144.08 billion in 2022, and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 10.8% from 2023 to 2030. Continued demand from the pandemic, as well as a number of other public health concerns are driving the market to new heights. This also means that as the global economy flirts with recession, the fundamentals of the healthcare market, and the consultants serving it, is considered a rare certainty – especially in the wake of the pandemic. This means M&A within the life sciences sector continues to be very active for consulting and technology companies.

All this is driving heightened activity for consultants specialising in either helping health and life sciences firms boost their performance to get an edge on competitors, or specialising in overseeing deals in the sector. PA Consulting’s UK heath experts combine problem solving excellence with insights from across the public sector and private industry. They work closely with government departments, local leaders, and health organisations to create a better living and working environment for citizens.
