US hospitals opt for Pavisse solution of RGP Healthcare
Two hospitals in the US, Mee Memorial Hospital and Pullman Regional Hospital, have in recent months engaged with RGP. As part of their collaborations, RGP will implement Pavisse, the firm’s state-of-the-art incident management and patient safety system, and support related operational improvement activities.
Mee Memorial is a 94-bed facility that provides in-patient, out-patient and emergency services to residents of Southern Monterey County in California. The hospital, founded in 1962, also has a network of four clinics to serve its clientele, three in King City and one in Greenfield.
The US hospital recently announced that, as part of a wider business transformation geared at boosting the efficiency of its technology infrastructure, it has opted to implement Pavisse, a proprietary solution of RGP Healthcare, the healt arm of consulting firm Resources Global Professionals (RGP). Pavisse is a comprehensive patient safety and peer review solution designed to help hospitals, clinics and senior living communities manage adverse events and other compliance-related functions across the enterprise.
Denise Miller, Risk Manager/Quality Assurance Director at Mee Memorial, says she is “excited” about the partnership with Pavisse, adding that the addition of Pavisse tools will support the hospital’s core values of quality, accountability, teamwork, and communication.
Last month another US hospital, Pullman Regional Hospital – located in Pullman, home of Washington State University – followed suit in a similar deal. The hospital, which serves a geographic area spanning southeastern Washington and northern Idaho, has set comparable goals (bolstering patient quality, enabled through more efficient IT) and following a vendor selection process also decided to turn to the services of RGP Healthcare.
Commenting on the deals, Radgia Cook, RGP Healthcare President, says that RGP is pleased to see both Pullman Regional and Mee Memorial deploy Pavisse to enhance patient well-being. Cook adds that she is confident that at the end of the line the roll-out will garner operational improvements, as well as boost patient safety and internal risk controls.
Globally RGP has over 3,200 professionals working from 68 practice offices. The majority of consultants are based in the US, where the 1996-founded firm is headquartered, in Irvine, California.
