Atos appoints Jon Pritchard as CEO of Unify subsidiary
French-origin technology giant Atos has appointed Jon Pritchard as CEO of its communications software and services provider subsidiary Unify.
Unify was founded in 2008 as Siemens Enterprise Communication, as a joint venture between The Gores Group (51%) and Siemens (49%). Late last year it was bought by Atos for €590 million. The company, which provides a range of end-to-end communications software and services supporting social collaboration, digital transformation and business performance, has more than 5,600 employees in over 60 countries, and generates €1.2 billion in revenues.
Atos recently announced that Jon Pritchard has taken over the role of CEO of its Unify subsidiary. Pritchard transfers to the role of CEO from his more recent role as Executive Vice-President of Channels at Unify. Prior to joining Atos, Pritchard worked at the Westcon Group, first as the company’s European Vice-President from 2003 until 2008, then as the President of subsidiary Comstor. The Comstor role saw Pritchard responsible for of a range of operational and strategic functions at the Cisco dedicated business practice. Previously he held various roles at Ingram Micro UK. Pritchard holds a Bachelor from the Liverpool John Moores University.
In his new role as CEO of the subsidiary, Pritchard will be responsible for Unify’s strategy, business direction and global execution, with additional responsibilities as part of Atos Executive Committee. The former Unify CEO, Dean Douglas, who ascended to the role in 2013, has moved on to “pursue other opportunities”.
