HKA has continued its recent hiring spree with the announcement of two more senior appointments. Christian Jeffery joins as a Principal in the firm’s forensics wing, while John Delaney has rejoined the business as a Principal in its EMEA business.

Global consultancy HKA specialises in risk mitigation, dispute resolution, expert witness and litigation support services. The firm is going through a period of rapid expansion at the beginning of 2023, with a number of senior hires and a major acquisition ramping up its capabilities for the year ahead.

Christian Jeffery is the latest consultant to join the firm, bringing expertise in disputes and arbitration, including project and commodity valuation, and advice regarding commercial structures and terms. He has extensive experience leading teams in gathering and analysing relevant data, and presenting analytic, commercial, and factual evidence for arbitration proceedings.

The opportunity to work with the large group of experts and industry specialists at HKA means that we will be able to offer our clients the broad range of knowledge and skills required in complex disputes.”

John Delaney also arrives with HKA, bringing 21 years of commercial experience to the firm, having worked on a range of projects in civil engineering, transport, mixed use, high rise, commercial, residential, industrial, health and local authority sectors. He holds qualifications in construction law, international arbitration, construction adjudication and expert evidence.

Delaney has provided cost and commercial management, expert witness and dispute resolution services to numerous clients across a broad range of sectors, specifically construction, civil engineering and gas pipelines; and has worked on projects in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. He was previously a Director with HKA, before exiting the firm in 2019 to join Base Quantum as a Director.

Delaney added, “I am delighted to re-join the team at HKA. The continued growth and success of the business is a great testament to the quality and professionalism of the people and I look forward to working with colleagues and clients, both familiar and new.”
