Ernst & Young buys consulting firm Jeffrey Parker

Ernst & Young has bought Jeffrey Parker & Associates, a boutique American financial advisory firm that focuses on infrastructure. Approximately 10 consultants of the acquired firm will be integrated into the Transaction Advisory Services practice of the Big4 office. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition expands the abilities of Ernst & Young in the infrastructure advisory service area.

"We are acquiring Jeffrey Parker & Associates to meet market demand for infrastructure advisory as the financing and development of U.S. Infrastructure becomes critical to the U.S. economy" says Rich Jeanneret, who heads the Transaction Advisory Services practice of E&Y. "This acquisition is in line with our strategy to grow our infrastructure advisory business".

Acquisitions in 2011

Last year, Ernst & Young Advisory in Europa bought Partake Consulting, a specialist in the field of Enterprise Intelligence. And in the United States it bought ISA Consulting, an advisory firm having approximately 100 consultants focusing on business intelligence services.
